FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is your turnaround time?
Our turnaround time is officially 48 hours, however, if you require the images back urgently to meet deadlines we are happy to do this within 24 hours (with no extra charge) but you will need to advise us in advance in order that we can prioritise the job as urgent.
We try to get most jobs back within 24 hours where we can, however, when we have an overload, or a shortage of photographers due to illness/holidays etc., we may need to adhere to the 48 hour deadline. Please note that the 24/48 hour deadlines apply to business days, e.g. if your job is done on a Friday, the return time would be Monday if urgent, or Tuesday (if necessary) due to constraints.
Do you provide services other than photography?
Yes, we provide a full range of photographic services both day and twilight including aerial photography (drone), Matterport 3D and 2D floorplans, signage, virtual furniture, and a full range of videography.
Is there a Cancellation Fee?
No, we do not charge any fee for cancellation, however, if the photographer actually turns up at the property and, through no fault of ZOME is unable to complete the photoshoot, then a callout fee of $50 will apply for central locations and up to $100 where one way travelling time is in excess of 45 minutes.
What should I do to prepare for the photographer in advance?
The less cluttered the images are, the better they look so, if possible, clearing items from kitchen benchtops, bathroom vanities, showers, etc. and putting personal items out of sight will greatly enhance your photography and assist the photographer. Pet bowls and litter trays, and outside, garden hoses, garden implements, pool paraphanaelia etc. are best out of sight.
If the photographer is instructed to carry out the job when the weather is inclement due to deadlines will an additional fee be charged if a second visit to the property is requested in fine weather?
Not always, however ZOME reserves the right to charge an additional fee (up to and including the correct price for the service) given that the photographer would otherwise be at a paying job in the time taken to reshoot your property.
In order to provide the best possible images to its clients ZOME always prefers to shoot property when the sun is shining. While we are able to drop in a blue sky, it is impossible for the images to reflect the sunlight when it is absent from the photo and they can consequently appear dull and lacklustre.
Can items be removed from the images by photoshopping?
Yes, our normal post processing will ensure that your image is lightened, views from windows included and any unwanted items are removed from the image. However, please note that there is a time factor involved in removing items which is why the photographer usually prefers to remove the clutter prior to taking the photograph. In some cases, dependant on the background and whether matching patterns is required, it can be extremely difficult and time consuming to remove items in which case an additional charge may be incurred if removal is requested by the client after the photography has been completed.
